I am an artist, and an aspiring art therapist and mental health counselor currently enrolled at the graduate program at Adler Graduate School, Minnesota, USA. As a creative person, I believe in honoring the mundane aspects of life. I relish altering the commonly perceived “trivial” aspects of life into meaningful works of art. Creativity, for me, is a process of turning the ordinary into extraordinary.
An optimistic approach thus can lead to a more fulfilling and rewarding life. There are so many things to be grateful for. I feel obliged to return to my ordinary life for inspiration for artwork, such as the chores that I regularly perform, as a wife, a mother, a daughter, a teacher, a student, and a friend. I try to capture the moments of my demanding life through my artwork to commemorate and be grateful for these gifts. Because this is what life is, a true work of art. My artwork can be viewed in my online portfolio, Artventures.
